Alumni

Whether you earned your Eagle here or just spent a season with us, you’re always part of Oreland Troop 1. Our alumni remain an important part of our troop’s 100+ year legacy—and there are many ways to stay connected.

Connect with Other Alumni

Looking to reconnect with fellow Scouts and leaders from your time in the troop? Join the Oreland Troop 1 Alumni Group on Facebook. Please note: This group is not managed or moderated by Oreland Troop 1.

Get Involved

We’re always looking for alumni to lend their experience and enthusiasm to our current Scouts. You can help by:

  • Volunteering at events like Commando Games, the Canoe Trip, Winter Camp, and Summer Camp
  • Visiting a troop meeting to share your career path, life experience, or teach Scout skills or a merit badge

If you’d like to get involved, please reach out to Scoutmaster Steve Carpenter via email.

Support Hawk Mountain Camp

Our troop’s private camp near Hawk Mountain is maintained through volunteer work and donations from friends of the troop. Alumni are welcome to:

  • Join us for seasonal work weekends
  • Contribute to ongoing maintenance and improvement efforts

If you’re interested in supporting Hawk Mountain Camp, please contact Paul Schlosser via email.

Rent the Camp

Oreland Troop 1 alumni may be eligible to rent Hawk Mountain Camp for personal or Scouting-related use. For details and availability, please contact Mike Weiss via email.
