Founded in April 1917, Oreland Troop 1 is one of the oldest Boy Scout troops in Pennsylvania.

Boys can join Oreland Troop 1 if they are at least 10 years old, currently in the fifth grade and register on or after March 1st; OR have earned the Arrow of Light Award as a Cub Scout and are at least 10 years old, OR are age 11 but have not reached age 18.

Troop meetings are held each Monday from 7:30 PM – 9:00 PM during the school year at Christ’s Lutheran Church in Oreland.

NONPROFIT TAX DISCLOSURE STATEMENT: Oreland Troop 1 is chartered by Christ’s Lutheran Church of Oreland, a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) and a tax-exempt religious organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Hawk Mountain Camp is owned and maintained by Hawk Mountain Camp Trust, a separate 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (EIN: 37-6447610). Contributions to either entity may be tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
