As a Boy Scout in Oreland Troop 1, you will be provided with opportunities to gain experience and skills allowing you to advance from Scout rank all the way to Eagle. You will progress through the ranks at your own pace, with assistance and guidance from experienced leaders and your fellow Boy Scouts.
Throughout the year, you’ll participate in activities including camping, canoeing, hiking, biking and fishing. At Hawk Mountain Camp, you’ll participate in cold-weather camping during Winter Camp. Each summer, you’ll have the opportunity to spend a week there at Oreland Troop 1’s highly-regarded Summer Camp.
You will experience adventure on overnight backpacking hikes and 40-mile canoe trips down the Delaware River. You’ll have tons of fun at our multi-day and multi-troop “Olympic-sized” capture the flag tournament.
You will learn to coordinate the details of activities/events along with other Scouts.
